October is SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Awareness Month
So what is SIDS exactly? Sudden infant death syndrome is the unexplained death, usually during sleep, of a seemingly healthy baby less than a year old. There are measures you can take to reduce the risk of SIDS.
Week #1 Tip: Always place baby on his or her back to sleep. This is one of the most important things you can do to protect your baby. When a baby is sleeping on their stomach or side to sleep they might have more difficulty breathing than those placed on their backs.
